Rates on this website are indicative and for guidance only. The rate that applies is the one quoted at our counter when you exchange.
Why the number moves
The mid-market rate you see quoted in the news is the midpoint between what banks pay each other. Nobody transacts at it. Every bureau applies a margin, and that margin is how the counter covers holding physical notes, insurance and the risk that the rate moves while the cash sits in the till.
We show both sides so the margin is visible rather than buried. If you want to compare us with somewhere else, compare the we sell figure for the currency you want — not the mid-market rate, which neither of us will give you.
This is indicative
The figure here is a guide, not a quotation. Rates change, and the rate that applies is the one at the counter when you transact. If you want certainty before travelling, reserve your currency and we will confirm availability.
